really interesting update. It is very interesting to actually look back at indie games even 1 year ago. Where now you need to compete with companies like behemoth. I do wish you luck with the polish

As wheels turn, spokes break.

So our last blog post, which had to be ages ago, we were super excited and even after that we had models finished and textures with unique effects being implemented. The game seemed to be one that would not only be fun, but look different then anything out there. So what could go wrong? Other then internal fracture ofcourse.... One of our 2D guys decided he wasn't interested in game dev and is off doing other things now. Our other 2D guy lost his job and plans of buying a house and getting marri… Continue

Small update

Well we've actually been getting some work done, which is cool.

- I've got the base mesh for one of the female units finished and almost completely unwrapped

- also started texturing the face, which is something I've never done. I have better lips now, just no pics to share yet :(

In dev videos

Hey thought I would let everyone know I have started documenting my work and my teams as well. I am recording like 95% of my modeling and we will be posting other progress vids while we continue working on our game.

things are a changing

Well last time I posted we were doing a shooter/rpg game. Well we are now doing a turn based strategy game. There are a few reasons for this. 1.) our team went through a overhaul and we have gained 2 new members. 2.) we all knew that doing an fps/rpg would be a huge task, but not as big as it truly was. So we decided to do something smaller first to get used to working together. Its a few of our 1st group projects and its our coders 1st game (he does c# web design for a living, but games are qui… Continue

I try not to look at too much of the released content after the first in-game trailer they released, because I don't want to judge it and lessen my excitement beyond the point of purchase :P Every now and then I feel like popping Diablo 2 back in and having "loads of fun"; then I take a breath and realize that once you reach level 30, if you're not in it for the long run (item finding), then the fun stops there.

Dota's fun, mostly with friends who aren't jerks that you can mess around with. People on battle.net are too serious and get so angry when somebody makes a mistake. Then they leave, which starts a chain of leaving that ruins the game, but I'm sure your brother has talked about leavers ^_^

No problem. I actually don't play the actual War3 RTS game, but the DotA map. It's the only thing I play for now; the next game in my line of sight is Diablo 3, whenever it gets released

I saw it on Google Analytics (shows where what links people come from to the site). I didn't notice it was the 4th shot I can delete me comment if you don't want the link there. I liked the picture but it would be cool if clicking on the picture linked to the site.

Here is the Google Analytics link:

yup. I 1st took it all apart and placed each piece of hardware into my other comp and motherboard was only thing looking bad. So asus is replacing it free (well i pay 1 way shipping )

It all worked out pretty well, just in the way of getting my models done :p

Sorry to hear that. I hate hardware sometimes. I have two dead laptops to look at when I get a chance. My wife's and then some relatives.

hey thanks, well some things popped up with our project. We are far from quitting or even putting things on hold. Just going slower.

My motherboard died and there saying 2 weeks till they send me a new one

and coder went on vacation for a week with his kid.

I am now posting this on a pretty old mac laptop :p but hopefully within 2 weeks we will be going head 1st and full throttle.

While coder is getting back at project and im waiting for my motherboard we have been planning ways to keep everyone happy with any income we come in.

Trying to split it up % wise so everyone is happy... not to easy :p but were getting there.

as for your project, I will go look through latest updates and see if any suggestions. Cant wait for full release.

Hey Will,

How are things going on your project? It has been a while. If you have anymore feedback you better hurry giving it because we are getting close to finishing ::crossing fingers:: :).

Hope things are going well.
