It is going to be interesting to see how Internet Satellite and DSL affect the industry. With Call Center Software, all the data is now stored on Cloud Hosting. People are able to pull the data down, streaming games of all sorts. In the old days, you had t… Continue
It occured to me recently I didn't exactly do a good job keeping to my idea of sending links to update my site blog elsewhere, so for those that might see it my site is http://edubois.wordpress.com
As to what's been going on I've slowly been learning Flash and ActionScript3 in the hopes that I can prototype a game idea I've had for a while. Continue

Well it has been a crazy few weeks. After talking to quite a few people and showing our game off it has become apparent that we missed the bar for polish and presentation.
Even though it exceeds the polish of a lot of indie games it is not enough to market the game. 3 years ago we would have been fine but now our game must go head to head with AAA titles made by major publishers.
Our plan all along was to release this game and then build the next in the series upgrading the graphics, polish an… Continue
The game name is going to be Sowing Secrets. It will still be in the Farmlands (TM) universe but will just go by Sowing Secrets.
A couple reasons
1) Sowing Secrets is a really cool name
2) Farmlands name is getting lost in the whole Facebook Farming Games.
We will be adding content to the new sites soon

This week I have finished up the in game user interface work. I'm also working on the final lighting pass for each of the levels. I ran into a couple bugs with lighting normals that I am currently fixing up as well.
We will be rolling out a new logo for the site. Here is what it looks like although the bloom isn't finished on this one. Some of the letters are a little faded out.
I took a small piece of each of the 8 levels in the story and put them together in a single image. Currently I'm putting together the story cut scenes for these levels.
Well back to it,

Well it turns out Direct3D does not like multi threading. These are the two screens I have been looking at for the last couple days flashing back and forth (d3d debug fills the back buffer with crazy flickering colors :/)
Direct3D insists all calls are on one thread or it crashes randomly on some… Continue

DotA is a kind of video game that Warcraft created. As what I've read on a research paper, the objective of this scenario is for each team to destroy the opponents' Ancients that is strictly guarded. Players here use there heroes along with their assisted heroes to fight their opponents. This kind of game usually has several worldwide tournaments, no wonder, all boys are addicted to it. I have a younger sister, named Yan, she has boyfriend,… Continue

Some of you might remember the game CrazySpace I was working on and writing about on this site. Well, over the last couple of weeks, I have been converting the game into Silverlight. My current progress can be found -- Here -- .
The new game, which won't have a name until its in a decent playable state, will be a space RPG similar to that of Wing Commander: Privateer except it will be 2D instead of 3D. Stop by and check i… Continue
