Well we've actually been getting some work done, which is cool.
- I've got the base mesh for one of the female units finished and almost completely unwrapped
- also started texturing the face, which is something I've never done. I have better lips now, just no pics to share yet :(
(some playing)
- we have our main story being written/revised now
- our coder has been hard at work getting our menu ready (there is alot more behind the scene that will help alot later) and getting models/ textures loading.
Can check out a small video here
- we are also starting to create some sites so we can start getting our name out there in the summer. we've started a facebook group looking into a ning page (cause greg's worked awesome) and we will share our homepage later.
ok this is the deal (and remember im the artist so take what I say with a grain of salt) there are 5 different models with 5 different textures. even when the models are off screen they are still be processed. So technically when there are 1800 units in game (not just on screen) its calculating 1800 units (at 3k tris each) but I believe it is instancing the 5 models and textures which is helping alot and there are no shadows or post processing or even any lights (other then maybe 1 point light) I will hopefully be able to explain this with a bit more certainty later once our programmer gets a bit more done

Congrats man! Good luck with the new site. I'm excited to see where you guys are headed. If you have any questions let me know.
On the video:
I see you have a lot of characters on screen. I was curious about the tech specs. That is a lot of meshes. Are those rendered as skinned meshes or is that straight goemetry? OpenGL, DirectX? What type of machine is it running on?
